The Innovation in Respiratory Infections and Tuberculosis Diagnosis Group of Institut d’Investigació en Ciències de la Salut Germans i Pujol (Badalona, Spain) is seeking a post- doctoral researcher for applying to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellowships (RESPIRE) call to study the impact of micro and nano-plastics on the immune response during lower respiratory tract infections using different cell infection models.
The work is part of the EU H2020 research project PlasticHeal (grant agreement No 965196) and its duration is 2 years. Participation in other projects of the group is also expected.
The tasks associated to this job include:
- Perform experiments and analysis of results
- Writing reports and manuscripts
- Provide support in the technical coordination and execution of running activities related to the project, including task leadership
- Participation in the dissemination of the results
Requirements:
- PhD in Science: Biology, Microbiology or related areas
- Fulfill the eligibility criteria of mobility of the call
- Expertise in barrier models, and 2D and 3D cell in-vitro models
- Good writing and communication skills in English
- Previous experience in cell culture, microbiology, confocal microscopy and flow cytometry will be considered as assets
The laboratory is recognized to host postdoctoral researchers interested in respiratory research.
